No problem this morning. I'm not sure what the problem was, because I changed too many variables simultaneously. I put new gas in the tank, and I only warmed it up for about thirty seconds before taking off. If the problem doesn't reoccur, I'm going to chalk it up to running too hot due to excessive warm up time. The fact that the problem subsided after a half mile or so may have been because it took that long for air to flow over the cooling fins and bring it back to operating temperature. Man...I would have felt like an idiot if my engine had seized while it was outside warming up!!

While I'm disclosing my own stupidity...I figured out what my rattle was that I mentioned in an earlier post...It was the freakin rear view mirror!! Now I have a headlight with a sock stuffed in it, electrtical tape around the wiring harness, and duct tape around the outside of the ring...while the whole time the problem could have been fixed by putting a dap of silocon on the mirror rattleing in it's case! It's amazing how sound travels on the savage! Take home lesson: Start a diagnosis by looking at the most simple possible cause first, and escalate from there!

Thanks for the feedback.
